Reclamation and reuse of water is becoming increasingly more important in a wide variety of manufacturing facilities, both environmentally and financially. With this in mind, Advanced Chemical Systems recently added Jim Nondorf, an expert in reverse osmosis systems, to the company’s roster.
Reverse osmosis (RO) removes dissolved impurities from reclaimed water by reversing the flow through a semi-permeable membrane. This process reduces dissolved solids from feed waters with salinities up to 45, 000 ppm total dissolved solids (TDS). Reverse osmosis can transform drinking water to high purity water for a variety of industrial applications, including the manufacture of microelectronics, in power generation and in pharmaceutical facilities. Reverse osmosis is also very effective at removing bacteria, pyrogens and organic contaminants from potable water, as well as recovering useable water from the waste streams of specific commercial processes.
Jim Nondorf joins Advanced Chemical Systems with more than 25 years’ experience in the manufacture of membrane systems. With his help, Advanced Chemical Systems will be adding a full line of membrane systems including microfiltration, macrofiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis (R.O.) systems.
